Study on Bexmarilimab and Azacitidine Compared to Placebo and Azacitidine for Untreated Higher-Risk Myelodysplastic Syndromes

Sponsor: Faron Pharmaceuticals Ltd

Sponsor score: 0

ClinicalTrials ID:NCT07672769

This clinical trial is testing a new treatment combination of bexmarilimab and azacitidine against a placebo and azacitidine in adults with newly diagnosed higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (HR-MDS). The study aims to find the best dose of bexmarilimab by evaluating its safety and effectiveness.

Patient Parameters

Program Overview

The purpose of this Phase IIb study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a new antibody treatment, bexmarilimab, when combined with azacitidine, compared to azacitidine with a placebo. This study is for adults with newly diagnosed higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (HR-MDS). Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either bexmarilimab at one of two doses (1 mg/kg or 3 mg/kg) plus azacitidine, or a placebo plus azacitidine. The main goal is to determine the recommended dose of bexmarilimab for future studies based on how well it works and how safe it is.
