Study on Lower Dose Radiation Therapy for Prostate Cancer

Inclusion Criteria

• Must have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate adenocarcinoma.
• Cancer should be classified as Grade Group 1, 2, or 3.
• PSA level must be less than 20 ng/mL before starting hormone therapy, if used.
• Cancer stage should be TX, T1, or T2 based on physical exam, with possible stage T3a on MRI.
• MRI-visible tumors must have specific scores and be clearly defined on imaging.
• Tumors should be small enough to be safely targeted with radiation.
• MRI-defined cancer must be confirmed as malignant through biopsy.
• Hormone therapy is allowed if it's standard care, but not required unless needed for more than 6 months.
• No high-grade cancer outside the MRI-defined area.
• Must be able to undergo MRI (no pacemakers or metal implants).
• Prostate size must be 90mL or less.
• No signs of cancer spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
• No previous radiation or surgery for prostate cancer.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a performance status score of 2 or less, indicating good overall health.
• Must have adequate blood, kidney, liver, and heart function based on specific medical tests.
• No active infections requiring IV antibiotics.
• No severe urinary symptoms or other conditions that could interfere with treatment.
• Must understand and agree to sign a consent form.
• Must agree to use contraception during and for one year after treatment, if applicable.
• Must be willing to complete questionnaires throughout the study.
