Study on Atebimetinib and Modified Chemotherapy for First-Line Treatment of Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Sponsor: Immuneering Corporation

Sponsor score: 0

ClinicalTrials ID:NCT07562152

This clinical trial is testing whether a new drug combination, atebimetinib with modified chemotherapy, can improve survival in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer compared to the standard chemotherapy treatment.

Patient Parameters

Program Overview

The aim of this study is to find out if adding a new drug, atebimetinib, to a modified schedule of chemotherapy drugs gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel can help patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer live longer than using the standard chemotherapy alone. Patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the new combination treatment or the standard chemotherapy as their first treatment for this type of cancer.

Description

This international study is in Phase 3, which means it is testing the effectiveness and safety of a new treatment on a larger group of patients. The study is open-label, so both the doctors and patients know which treatment is being given. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will receive atebimetinib along with a modified schedule of the chemotherapy drugs gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel, while the other group will receive the standard schedule of gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel. The goal is to see if the new combination can help patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer live longer than the standard treatment.
