Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to determine if combining the drug Olaparib with the chemotherapy drugs Carboplatin and Paclitaxel can better treat advanced ovarian cancer compared to using Carboplatin and Paclitaxel by themselves. Researchers aim to see if this combination can improve treatment outcomes for patients.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Diagnosed with a specific type of ovarian cancer called serous ovarian cancer.
  • Have received no more than three previous treatments containing platinum and have been free of cancer progression for at least six months after the last platinum treatment.
  • Have at least one tumor that can be accurately measured multiple times during the study.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Currently receiving any other cancer treatments, including chemotherapy or radiotherapy, within two weeks before starting the study treatment.
  • Have allergies to the medications required before treatment with Paclitaxel or Carboplatin.
