Program Overview

The aim of this study is to find out if using lenvatinib and pembrolizumab together with TACE is more effective and safe compared to using TACE with placebo treatments in patients with liver cancer that cannot be cured and has not spread to other parts of the body. The study will look at whether this combination can help patients live longer without the cancer getting worse and improve overall survival rates.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Diagnosed with liver cancer confirmed by imaging or biopsy.
  • Cancer is only in the liver and cannot be treated with surgery or other curative methods.
  • If you have Hepatitis C, you must have completed treatment at least one month before starting the study.
  • If you have Hepatitis B, you are eligible to participate.
  • Blood pressure must be well-controlled, with or without medication.
  • Must have good organ function.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Currently eligible for a liver transplant.
  • Have had stomach bleeding in the past six months.
  • Have fluid buildup in the abdomen (ascites) that cannot be controlled with medication.
  • Have had serious heart problems in the past year, such as heart failure.
  • Have a serious wound, ulcer, or bone fracture that is not healing.
  • Have received previous local treatments to liver tumors.
