Study on Elranatamab for Treating Multiple Myeloma Resistant to Certain Treatments

This clinical trial is testing a new drug, Elranatamab, to see if it can help patients with multiple myeloma that has not responded to previous treatments. Elranatamab is designed to help the body's immune cells target and destroy cancer cells.

Program Overview
The aim of this study is to find out if Elranatamab, a new type of drug, can benefit patients with multiple myeloma that has returned or not responded to other treatments. Elranatamab works by helping immune cells attack the cancer cells directly. The study will involve patients who have tried other treatments without success, including those who have or have not received a specific type of therapy targeting BCMA, a protein found on myeloma cells.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Diagnosed with multiple myeloma.
- Have measurable signs of the disease, such as specific protein levels in the blood or urine.
- The cancer has not responded to at least one of each type of previous treatment: IMiD, PI, and anti-CD38 antibody.
- The cancer has returned or not responded to the last treatment tried.
- For Cohort A: Have not received BCMA-targeted therapy before.
- For Cohort B: Have received BCMA-targeted therapy before.
- Be in relatively good health with an ECOG performance status of 0 to 2.
- Any side effects from previous treatments should be resolved to a mild level.
- Not pregnant and willing to use effective birth control.
Exclusion Criteria
- Have a condition called smoldering multiple myeloma.
- Have active plasma cell leukemia.
- Have amyloidosis or POEMS syndrome.
- Have had a stem cell transplant within the last 12 weeks.
- Have active infections like hepatitis B, hepatitis C, COVID-19, or HIV.
- Have another active cancer within the last 3 years, except for certain skin cancers or carcinoma in situ.
- Have taken an experimental drug within the last 30 days or longer, depending on the drug's duration in the body.
