Patient Parameters

Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and tolerability of a new treatment called NGM120 in people with colorectal cancer who are also experiencing significant weight loss due to their cancer, a condition known as cachexia. The study is conducted across multiple centers and involves participants being randomly assigned to receive either NGM120 or a placebo, without knowing which one they are receiving.

Description

This clinical trial is focused on understanding how well NGM120 works and how safe it is for people with colorectal cancer who are also dealing with cancer-related weight loss, called cachexia. The study is set up so that neither the participants nor the researchers know who is receiving the actual treatment and who is receiving a placebo, which is a substance with no active medication. This helps ensure the results are unbiased. Participants will be monitored for any changes in their condition and any side effects they might experience during the study.
