Study Comparing Izalontamab Brengitecan with Standard Chemotherapy for EGFR-Mutated Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer After EGFR TKI Therapy Failure

Sponsor: Bristol-Myers Squibb

Sponsor score: 60

ClinicalTrials ID:NCT07100080

This clinical trial is testing a new drug, Izalontamab Brengitecan, against the standard chemotherapy treatment for patients with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has not responded to previous targeted therapy.

Patient Parameters

Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of a new treatment, Izalontamab Brengitecan, with the standard chemotherapy regimen of platinum and pemetrexed in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has a specific genetic mutation (EGFR) and has not responded to previous targeted therapy.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Have non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that cannot be treated with the intent to cure.
  • Have a confirmed EGFR mutation, specifically exon 19 deletion or L858R mutation.
  • The cancer must have progressed after treatment with a third-generation EGFR-TKI therapy, such as osimertinib, furmonertinib, or lazertinib, either alone or in combination with other treatments.
  • Be eligible to receive a chemotherapy regimen that includes a platinum-based drug (cisplatin or carboplatin) combined with pemetrexed.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have inadequate organ function or low bone marrow reserves.
  • Have cancer that has spread to the membranes surrounding the brain or spinal cord, or have spinal cord compression.
  • Have poorly controlled medical conditions affecting the whole body.
