Study on ctDNA Monitoring in Triple Negative Breast Cancer with Remaining Disease After Treatment

Program Overview

This study is looking at a new way to monitor patients with stage II/III triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) who have some cancer remaining after initial treatment and surgery. The study uses a blood test to detect small amounts of cancer DNA, known as molecular residual disease (MRD), to see if it can help identify patients at risk of cancer returning. The study also tests a new drug, Dato-DXd, to see if it can help prevent cancer from coming back in these patients.

Description

Patients with stage II/III triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) who still have some cancer left after initial treatment are at a higher risk of the cancer returning. This study is testing a new method to detect small amounts of cancer DNA in the blood, which can help identify patients at risk of cancer coming back. This early detection can provide a chance to treat the cancer before it becomes more serious. The study also tests a new drug, Dato-DXd, which is designed to target and kill cancer cells. The goal is to see if this drug can help prevent the cancer from returning in patients who have small amounts of cancer DNA in their blood after surgery. The study will also look at the safety and effectiveness of this new drug.
