Study on Personalized Treatment for Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Using Protein Markers
Sponsor: University of California, Davis
ClinicalTrials ID:NCT07250477
This clinical trial is testing a new approach to treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by using protein markers to guide therapy choices. The study aims to see if this personalized treatment can help patients live longer without their cancer getting worse.

Program Overview
The purpose of this study is to find out if using protein markers to guide treatment decisions can improve outcomes for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have not received treatment before. The study will compare this personalized approach to the standard treatment to see if it helps patients live longer without their cancer progressing over 12 months.
Description
In this study, participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive a personalized treatment plan based on protein markers and other assessments, which will help doctors choose the best combination of standard treatments, including immune therapy and possibly chemotherapy. The other group will receive the standard treatment based on current medical guidelines.
The main goal is to see if the personalized treatment helps patients live longer without their cancer getting worse over a year. The study will also look at how well patients are doing overall and how their tumors respond to the treatment. Researchers hope that using protein markers to guide treatment will lead to better outcomes for patients with advanced NSCLC.
