This clinical trial is testing if using PSMA-PET/MRI scans to guide a reduced amount of radiation therapy can lower side effects while still controlling cancer in men who have had prostate surgery and whose cancer has returned.

Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to see if using PSMA-PET/MRI scans to guide a reduced amount of radiation therapy can help control prostate cancer that has returned after surgery, while also reducing side effects. The study is for men aged 30 and older who have had prostate surgery and now have a rising PSA level, indicating the cancer may be back. Participants must have a specific type of lesion that can be targeted with radiation. The study will also look at how well the cancer is controlled over two years and monitor any side effects.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Men who have had prostate cancer and surgery to remove the prostate.
  • Rising PSA levels after surgery, indicating the cancer may be back.
  • A specific type of lesion that can be targeted with radiation, as seen on PSMA-PET or MRI scans.
  • Life expectancy of more than 5 years.
  • Good overall health, with a performance status score indicating they are able to carry out normal activities.
  • Aged 30 years or older.
  • Able to understand and agree to the study requirements.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Cancer that has spread beyond the pelvic lymph nodes.
  • Conditions that might make it hard to follow the study plan, such as certain psychological or social issues, or substance abuse.
  • Medical conditions that make radiation therapy unsafe, such as certain bowel diseases or connective tissue disorders.
