Program Overview
The main goal of this study is to see how well the drug zanzalintinib works compared to everolimus in treating patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors that have already been treated but cannot be removed by surgery. These tumors can be located in the pancreas or other parts of the body.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of advanced neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) that cannot be surgically removed, originating from the pancreas or other areas.
- Have previously received treatment for NETs, depending on the tumor's location and activity.
- Show documented disease progression based on recent imaging tests (CT or MRI) within the last 12 months.
- Have measurable disease as determined by standard criteria.
- Provide a sample of tumor tissue, either from previous tests or a new biopsy if safe to do so.
Exclusion Criteria
- Have certain types of neuroendocrine cancers, such as small cell lung cancer, medullary thyroid cancer, or others listed.
- Have previously been treated with specific types of cancer drugs targeting VEGFR or mTOR.
- Have received chemotherapy or liver-targeted treatments within 4 weeks before starting the study.
- Have had systemic radionuclide therapy within 6 weeks before starting the study.
- Have had radiation therapy for bone metastases within 2 weeks, or other radiation treatments within 4 weeks before starting the study.
