Study on PET/CT Imaging for Small Cell Lung Cancer Using 89Zr-DFO-SC16.56

Sponsor: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Sponsor score: 60

ClinicalTrials ID:NCT04199741

This clinical trial is exploring the safety and processing of a new imaging agent, 89Zr-DFO-SC16.56, in patients with small cell lung cancer and certain other types of cancer.

Patient Parameters

Program Overview

The aim of this study is to determine how safe the imaging agent 89Zr-DFO-SC16.56 is and how it behaves in the body of people with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and some other cancers. This agent is used in PET/CT scans to help doctors see tumors more clearly.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), a neuroendocrine tumor, or prostate cancer with suspected neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC).
  • Have at least one tumor that is 2 cm or larger on a CT or MRI scan.
  • For prostate cancer patients with only bone metastases, a recent PET scan, MRI, or bone scan showing new bone metastases is required.
  • Be in good overall health with an ECOG performance status of 0 to 2, meaning fully active or restricted in physically strenuous activity but ambulatory.
  • Women of childbearing potential must have a negative pregnancy test within two weeks before receiving the imaging agent.
  • Have adequate organ function, including:
    • Neutrophil count of at least 1,500/mm³.
    • Hemoglobin level of at least 8.0 g/dL.
    • Platelet count of at least 75,000/mm³.
    • Bilirubin level within 1.5 times the normal limit.
    • AST and ALT levels within specified limits, depending on liver metastases.
    • Creatinine level within 1.5 times the normal limit.
  • Provide a previous tumor biopsy sample for analysis, or be willing to undergo a PET/CT guided biopsy if necessary.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have a history of severe allergic reactions to human antibodies.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Have a psychiatric condition that would prevent following study procedures.
  • Cannot undergo a PET scan due to weight restrictions.
