Program Overview
The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a new drug, iza-bren, which targets specific proteins on cancer cells, compared to standard chemotherapy treatments. This trial is for patients with advanced or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) or certain types of hormone receptor-low, HER2-negative breast cancer who are not eligible for specific immunotherapies or hormone treatments.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Diagnosed with advanced or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) or hormone receptor-low, HER2-negative breast cancer based on recent biopsy results.
- If the cancer has returned, it must have done so at least 6 months after completing previous treatment aimed at curing the disease.
- For TNBC patients, must not be eligible for chemotherapy combined with certain immunotherapies due to reasons like:
- Cancer not responding to PD-L1 targeted treatments.
- Cancer returning 6 to 12 months after previous immunotherapy.
- Having a severe autoimmune disease or other medical reasons.
- For hormone receptor-low, HER2-negative patients, must not be eligible for hormone-based treatments.
- No prior systemic treatment for advanced or metastatic cancer.
- Must have measurable cancer that can be tracked using scans like CT or MRI.
- Other specific criteria may apply.
