Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to determine if Ivonescimab can be an effective first treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has spread to other parts of the body and shows high levels of PD-L1. Researchers will assess how long patients live and how long they can go without the cancer getting worse.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Have a good overall health status, able to carry out normal activities with minimal symptoms.
  • Expected to live at least 3 more months.
  • Have advanced (Stage IV) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
  • Cancer must be confirmed through lab tests and show high levels of PD-L1 (more than 50%).
  • Have at least one tumor that can be measured by scans, not in the brain.
  • Have not received any previous treatment for advanced NSCLC.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have a type of lung cancer called small cell lung cancer, which requires different treatments.
  • Have already received treatment for advanced NSCLC.
  • Are participating in another clinical trial, unless it does not involve treatment.
  • Have genetic changes in the cancer that require specific treatments.
  • Have cancer that has spread to the brain and is causing symptoms, or need brain radiation soon.
  • Have had another cancer unless it was treated successfully and has not returned for 3 years.
  • Have active autoimmune or lung diseases needing treatment.
  • Have nerve damage that is moderate or severe.
  • Have had a severe infection or major surgery in the last 4 weeks.
  • Have a history of lung inflammation needing treatment with steroids.
