Program Overview
This study is testing a new treatment called X-PACT for prostate cancer. X-PACT uses a combination of a drug called methoxsalen, which comes from a plant, and X-ray energy to target and treat cancer cells directly in the tumor. Methoxsalen has been used successfully in other types of cancer treatments and is approved by the FDA for certain conditions. The treatment aims to control cancer locally and may also help the immune system fight the cancer. The process involves activating methoxsalen with X-ray energy, which can damage cancer cells and potentially help the immune system recognize and attack them. This approach is being tested for its ability to control cancer and support the immune system in fighting the disease.

- The patient must be willing and able to give informed consent.
- This treatment is specifically designed for one patient, and only that patient will receive the investigational drug under the supervision of the principal investigator.
