Study on Quemliclustat and Chemotherapy Compared to Placebo and Chemotherapy for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Inclusion Criteria

• Have a confirmed diagnosis of metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
• Have not received treatment for PDAC in its metastatic stage.
  • Previous treatments before the cancer spread are allowed if they were completed at least 12 months ago.
  • Previous radiation therapy for symptom relief is allowed if it was completed at least 2 weeks ago and any side effects have improved.
  • Having a biliary stent or tube is allowed if any related side effects have improved and there are no symptoms of bile duct blockage.
• Be in good overall health with a performance status score of 0 or 1, meaning fully active or restricted in physically strenuous activity but ambulatory.
• Have at least one tumor that can be measured by CT or MRI scans, and is not in an area that received previous radiation therapy.

Exclusion Criteria

• Have been treated for locally advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.
• Have a history of cancer spreading to the brain or the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord.
• Have previously been treated with a CD73 antagonist or inhibitor.
• Have medical or psychiatric conditions that could make the study treatment unsafe, according to the study doctor or sponsor.
