Program Overview
The aim of this study is to find out if adding the drug JNJ-90301900 to the usual treatment of chemotherapy and radiation, followed by immunotherapy, can increase the number of patients who experience a significant reduction in their cancer. This study focuses on patients with locally advanced stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that cannot be removed by surgery.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Eligible for standard treatment of NSCLC with chemotherapy and radiation, followed by immunotherapy, as determined by the doctor.
- Diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer within the last 3 months.
- Have advanced stage IIIA or IIIB NSCLC that cannot be surgically removed.
- Have at least one tumor or lymph node that can be treated with injections and radiation.
- Be in good overall health with an ECOG performance status of 0 or 1, meaning fully active or restricted in physically strenuous activity but ambulatory.
Exclusion Criteria
- Have a history of primary immune system deficiency or organ transplant requiring immune suppression.
- Have had severe heart problems, such as heart attack or unstable chest pain, within the last 3 months.
- Have another type of cancer within the last 3 years.
- Have known allergies to any of the study drugs or their ingredients.
- Have a bleeding disorder or need blood thinners that cannot be safely stopped for procedures.
