This clinical trial is testing a new medication called zongertinib to see if it can help people with advanced cancers that have specific changes in the HER2 gene. The study is for adults whose previous treatments didn't work or who have no other treatment options.

Program Overview

This study is for adults with advanced cancer that has specific changes in the HER2 gene, which can cause cancer to grow. The study aims to find out if a new medicine, zongertinib, can help treat these cancers. Participants are divided into 10 groups based on their type of cancer and HER2 changes. Everyone in the study takes zongertinib and continues as long as it helps and is tolerable. Regular visits to the study site are required to check the tumor size and overall health.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have advanced cancer with specific HER2 changes, confirmed by previous tests.
  • Must provide a tumor sample to confirm HER2 status, unless not possible.
  • Must have tried all other available treatments or have no other treatment options.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Cannot have HER2 mutant non-small cell lung cancer.
  • Cannot have had another cancer in the last 3 years, except for certain treated skin cancers or other cancers considered cured.
  • Cannot take medications that interfere with the study.
  • Must be fully recovered from any major surgery before joining the study.
