Program Overview
The main goal of this study is to find out if a new combination of drugs, including bemcentinib, is safe and can help shrink tumors in patients with advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have not been treated before. The study will also look at how well this combination works in patients with a specific genetic mutation called STK11, which is known to affect cancer growth.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that cannot be cured with surgery or other treatments.
- Have not received any previous treatment for advanced or metastatic NSCLC.
- Have a type of NSCLC that does not have certain genetic changes that can be targeted by other treatments.
- Have measurable cancer that can be tracked during the study.
Exclusion Criteria
- Have received any previous chemotherapy or biological therapy for advanced or metastatic lung cancer.
- Have specific genetic changes in the cancer, such as EGFR mutations or ALK rearrangements, that can be treated with other targeted therapies.
- Have had radiation therapy within two weeks before starting the study treatment or have not fully recovered from side effects of previous radiation therapy.
- Have had major surgery within 28 days before starting the study treatment and have not fully recovered from the surgery.
