This clinical trial is testing the drug alisertib in patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) that has worsened after previous treatments. The study aims to find out which patients benefit most from alisertib and to assess its effectiveness and safety.

Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of alisertib, a drug being tested for small cell lung cancer (SCLC) that has progressed after treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy and an anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy. Patients who have had up to two previous treatments for SCLC may participate. The study will also look at specific patient characteristics to see who benefits most from alisertib.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of small cell lung cancer (SCLC).
  • Have previously been treated with one platinum-based chemotherapy and an anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy. Up to one more anti-cancer treatment for SCLC is allowed, making a total of up to two previous treatments.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have previously been treated with any drug specifically targeting AURKA or pan-Aurora, including alisertib.

Note: There are more criteria to determine eligibility. The study center will assess if you meet all the requirements.
