Program Overview

The study is testing a new treatment method for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a type of pancreatic cancer. It combines endoscopic ultrasound radiofrequency ablation (EUS-RFA) with standard chemotherapy given before surgery. The goal is to reduce the size of the tumor or prevent the cancer from spreading, which could make the surgery easier and more successful.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) confirmed by a biopsy.
  • Have a permanent home address.
  • Agree to participate in the study.
  • Have a CT scan showing signs of PDAC.
  • Have not received chemotherapy before or have had less than 2 months of chemotherapy before surgery for PDAC.
  • Be in good enough health to perform daily activities, with a performance status score between 0 and 2.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Under 18 years old.
  • Do not have a permanent home address or phone number.
  • Pregnant.
  • Currently in prison.
  • Unable to give informed consent.
