Program Overview
This study is testing a new approach to treat Nonseminomatous Germ Cell Tumors (NSGCT) by using modified T cells that target a specific protein called CD30. Researchers will collect samples like tumor tissue and blood to see if these modified cells are present in the body and how long they last. The study also aims to find better ways to treat cancer in the future by combining T cells and antibodies, which are both important for fighting diseases. Previous studies have shown that this treatment is safe for patients with certain types of cancer, and this study builds on those findings.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Must provide written consent and authorization to share personal health information.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a confirmed diagnosis of Nonseminomatous Germ Cell Tumors (NSGCT).
- Must have received at least one previous treatment for NSGCT.
- Must show signs of the cancer returning or progressing after high-dose chemotherapy, such as:
- New or growing tumors that cannot be removed.
- Increasing levels of specific tumor markers in the blood.
- New or larger tumors along with elevated tumor markers.
Exclusion Criteria
- Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Cannot have active infections like HIV, certain viruses related to leukemia, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C. Tests for these infections must be negative before using the modified cells.
