Study on ZEN003694 for Treating Squamous Cell Lung Cancer

Inclusion Criteria

• Have a confirmed diagnosis of squamous cell lung cancer.
• The cancer must be recurrent or have spread to other parts of the body.
• Patients with previously treated, symptom-free brain metastases that do not require more than 10mg of prednisone (or equivalent) are eligible.
• Must have received prior first-line treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Have a performance status score of 0 to 2, indicating full activity or some restriction in strenuous activities.
• Show evidence of NSD3 gene gain or amplification through specific genetic tests.
• Have adequate blood and organ function as shown by specific lab tests.
• Be able to swallow capsules.
• Use of corticosteroids is allowed up to a daily dose of 10 mg prednisone or equivalent, provided the dose is stable.
• Be 18 years or older.
• Women must not be able to become pregnant or must use effective contraception. Men must use condoms if their partners can become pregnant.
• Women must have a negative pregnancy test before starting the study and agree to regular pregnancy tests during the study.
• Women must not be breastfeeding during the study and for 7 months after the last dose.

Exclusion Criteria

• Have previously received a BET inhibitor.
• Have had other cancer treatments or investigational drugs recently.
• Have had radiation therapy within 2 weeks of starting the study drug.
• Are taking certain medications that affect how the body processes drugs.
• Have certain heart conditions or a history of heart problems.
• Have other serious health conditions that could affect safety or participation.
• Have another active cancer that requires treatment.
• Have a history of certain viral infections like HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C.
• Have had major surgery recently.
• Have blood clotting disorders or are on certain blood thinners.
• Are using certain medications that affect blood clotting.
