Program Overview

The aim of this study is to determine if the combination of tiragolumab and atezolizumab can improve outcomes for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have had their tumors completely removed and have received chemotherapy. The study will compare this combination to a placebo plus atezolizumab to see which is more effective and safe.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Good overall health with a performance status score of 0 or 1, meaning fully active or restricted in physically strenuous activity but ambulatory.
  • Diagnosed with Stage IIB, IIIA, or certain IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), either non-squamous or squamous type.
  • Have had complete surgical removal of NSCLC.
  • Have received one to four cycles of chemotherapy based on the type of cancer cells.
  • Have fully recovered from surgery and chemotherapy.
  • Tumor cells must show PD-L1 expression of 1% or higher.
  • Have good blood and organ function.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have had any previous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) within the last 5 years.
  • Have any remaining cancer or signs of cancer returning after surgery or chemotherapy.
  • Have NSCLC with specific genetic changes, such as EGFR mutations or ALK fusion oncogenes.
