Program Overview
The goal of this study is to find out if using a combination of three anti-cancer drugs—carboplatin, paclitaxel, and ramucirumab—can effectively reduce the size of tumors or delay their growth in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Additionally, the study will evaluate the safety of using these drugs together.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- Have advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is either Stage IV or has come back after initial treatment aimed at curing it.
- Be 18 years or older.
- Have previously received 4 to 6 cycles of treatment with Pemetrexed, Carboplatin, and Pembrolizumab, and experienced disease progression after at least 18 weeks of maintenance therapy with Pemetrexed, Pembrolizumab, or both.
- Have a performance status score of 0 or 1, indicating full activity or some restriction in strenuous activities.
Exclusion Criteria
- Have a specific genetic mutation that can be treated with targeted therapy.
- Have another active invasive cancer that requires ongoing treatment.
- Have moderate to severe nerve damage causing numbness or tingling.
- Have untreated cancer that has spread to the brain.
- Have a history of bleeding disorders or recent significant coughing up of blood (more than 1/2 teaspoon in the past 2 months).
