Study on Sacituzumab Govitecan for People with Mesothelioma

Inclusion Criteria

• Must be 18 years or older and able to provide consent.
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of diffuse pleural mesothelioma.
• Must have received at least one previous treatment, such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy.
• Have measurable disease based on specific medical criteria.
• Agree to have a biopsy before starting treatment and during the study if safe.
• Be in good general health with a performance status score indicating ability to carry out daily activities.
• Have adequate organ function, including:
  • Sufficient white blood cell and platelet counts.
  • Good kidney function.
  • Hemoglobin level above 9 g/dL.
  • Normal liver function tests, with some allowances for specific conditions.
• If able to have children, must agree to use effective birth control before, during, and after the study.

Exclusion Criteria

• Currently participating in another study or have recently participated in one.
• Allergic to irinotecan or components of sacituzumab govitecan.
• Have not recovered from previous cancer treatments.
• Have psychiatric or substance abuse issues that could interfere with the study.
• Have another active cancer requiring treatment, except for certain skin or early-stage cancers.
• Have active hepatitis B or C infections, unless under control with treatment.
• Have HIV with certain conditions, such as low CD4 count or not on effective treatment.
• Have had recent heart problems, such as heart attack or stroke.
• Have severe heart failure or have been hospitalized for heart failure recently.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those not using effective birth control if able to have children.
