Program Overview

This study is testing two different combinations of drugs to treat multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in patients who have already been treated with other medications. The trial will compare the effectiveness and safety of the combination of Selinexor, Pomalidomide, and Dexamethasone (SPd) against Elotuzumab, Pomalidomide, and Dexamethasone (EloPd). It will also assess how these treatments impact patients' quality of life.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Have multiple myeloma that has come back or not responded to treatment, with measurable disease.
  • Have received 1 to 4 previous treatments for multiple myeloma.
  • Have been treated with specific drugs, including lenalidomide, a proteasome inhibitor, and an anti-CD38 antibody.
  • Be in good general health with a performance status of 0 to 2.
  • Have normal liver and kidney function based on blood tests.
  • Have adequate blood cell counts.
  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Women of childbearing potential must have a negative pregnancy test and use effective birth control.
  • Be willing to take aspirin or other blood thinners if needed.
  • Have controlled hepatitis B or C, or HIV, if applicable.
  • Provide informed consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have a type of multiple myeloma that is not active or is a different form, like plasma cell leukemia.
  • Have had certain treatments before, like selinexor, pomalidomide, or elotuzumab.
  • Have uncontrolled infections or other serious medical conditions.
  • Have had recent major surgery or stem cell transplant.
  • Be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Have significant heart problems or other serious health issues.
  • Have difficulty swallowing or absorbing medications.
  • Be unable or unwilling to follow the study procedures.
