This clinical trial is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can accurately detect if prostate cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes in patients with high-risk prostate cancer who are planning to have surgery.

Program Overview

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well a new PET scan using 64Cu-SAR-bisPSMA can identify if prostate cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes in patients who have high-risk prostate cancer and are scheduled for surgery to remove the prostate.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have signed a consent form agreeing to participate.
  • Must have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer that has not been treated yet.
  • Must have high-risk prostate cancer, as defined by specific medical guidelines, which includes having a clinical stage of T3a or higher, a Grade Group of 4 or higher, or a PSA level greater than 20 ng/mL.
  • Must be planning to undergo surgery to remove the prostate and nearby lymph nodes.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have received any high-energy gamma-emitting radioisotope treatment within a certain time frame before the study starts.
  • Have a known or expected allergy to 64Cu-SAR-bisPSMA or any of its ingredients.
  • Have a type of prostate cancer that is mainly small cell or neuroendocrine.
