Patient Parameters

Program Overview

The main goal of this study is to offer the drug Sunitinib to patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) who cannot participate in other ongoing Sunitinib clinical trials. The decision to provide this treatment is based on the doctor's assessment that the patient may benefit from it.

Description

This study is part of an Expanded Access program, which means it is not a traditional clinical trial with control groups. Therefore, it does not require the same level of results reporting as other clinical trials. The study is registered on ClinicalTrials.gov, but detailed results will not be posted. The purpose of this program is to make Sunitinib available to patients who have metastatic kidney cancer and have not responded to cytokine treatments, offering them a potential treatment option when other clinical trials are not suitable.
